　　Last week we had a discussion about whether we still need Confucian thought in modern society. About 60% of the students in my class think it necessary to study Confucian thought. For another, Confucian thought is believed to have made great contributions to the peace of human beings.

　　But every coin has two sides. About 40% of the students in my class insist Confucian thought is outdated. In a way it limits the development of the world.

　　Different people have different opinions. I think Confucian thought still has some positive effects on our society.
