require的用法：

　　require在英語(yǔ)中作為動(dòng)詞一般有以下4中用法

　　(1) require sth 需要，依靠

　　These pets require a lot of care and attention.

　　這些寵物需要悉心照顧。

　　(2) require sb to do sth 要求某人做某事

　　At the beginning of the new term, all students will be required to take a short test.

　　在新學(xué)期的開始，所有學(xué)生都要參加一次小測(cè)試。

　　(3) require doing sth 需要做某事

　　This book is required reading for this course.

　　這本書是這本課程的指定讀物。

　　(4) require that + 從句 需要，要求

　　在require引導(dǎo)的賓語(yǔ)從句中，謂語(yǔ)動(dòng)詞用“should +動(dòng)詞原形”，should可省略。

　　The situation required that he (should) be present.

　　這種情形需要他在場(chǎng)。
