1. What day is / was ...? 這一句型常用來詢問“某一天是星期幾”。如： What day is it today? 今天星期幾？What day was it yesterday? 昨天星期幾？

2. hope意為“希望”，表示很有可能實(shí)現(xiàn)的愿望，其句型為“hope to do sth”或“hope+從句”。如：I hope she's better tomorrow. 我希望明天她會(huì)好些。We hope to see you soon. 我們希望不久能見到你。(注意：不能說hope sb to do sth)

3. 當(dāng)聽到有關(guān)別人的不幸的消息或不愉快的事情時(shí)，常用“I'm sorry to hear that.”來表示同情。如：-I was a bit ill. 我有點(diǎn)不舒服。-I'm sorry to hear that. 聽到這事我很難過。

4. remember to do sth 意為“記得要做某事”，此事還沒有做；而remember doing sth 意為“記得做過某事”，這件事已經(jīng)做了。如：

I remembered posting the letter yesterday. 我記得昨天把信寄走了。Please remember to close the door when you leave.請(qǐng)你走時(shí)記住把門關(guān)上。

5. look after馕“照顧；照看”，相當(dāng)于take care of 。如：You must look after yourself and keep healthy. 你一定要照顧好自己，保持身體健康。The little boy can't look after / take care of himself. 這個(gè)小男孩不能照顧自己。

6. at the same time 意為“同時(shí)”，介詞at不能任意更改。如： I can see the world at the same time. 同時(shí)我能夠看看世界。

7. 當(dāng)句中的時(shí)間狀語為yesterday morning 時(shí)，句中的時(shí)態(tài)一般用過去時(shí)。類似的時(shí)間狀語還有：1) yesterday 以及含有yesterday 的短語，如：yesterday morning / afternoon / evening, the day before yesterday等；2）“l(fā)ast + 時(shí)間名詞”，如：last week, last Sunday, last year等； 3） “一段時(shí)間 + ago”，如：two hours ago, three days ago等。如： Where was Mr King yesterday morning? 昨天金先生在哪里？

8. by the way 是一個(gè)固定短語，意為“順便問一下；順便說一句”。如：By the way, why did you call me? 順便問一下，你為什么打電話給我？

9. exercise 作“運(yùn)動(dòng)；鍛煉”講時(shí)是不可數(shù)名詞，作“練習(xí)；體操”講時(shí)是可數(shù)名詞。如：do some exercise 做運(yùn)動(dòng), do morning exercises做早操。

10. 表示一日三餐的名詞前面一般不用冠詞，但是如果有形容詞修飾則要用不定冠詞a / an 。如：Every morning I get up at seven. I do some exercise and have a light breakfast. 我每天七點(diǎn)鐘起床，運(yùn)動(dòng)，然后吃點(diǎn)簡(jiǎn)單的早餐。 He had a big lunch today.今天他吃了一頓豐盛的午餐。
