詞匯辨析：learned learnt

　　Learnt和learned都是動(dòng)詞learn的過(guò)去式和過(guò)去分詞形式。兩者都是正確的，learned在美式英語(yǔ)和英式英語(yǔ)中都可以使用，但learnt在英式英語(yǔ)中使用更多。

　　We learned the news at about three o'clock.

　　我們?cè)诖蠹s3點(diǎn)的時(shí)候?qū)W習(xí)了新聞。

　　They learnt the train times by heart.

　　他憑記憶得知了火車時(shí)間表。

　　有許多其他動(dòng)詞，其過(guò)去式和過(guò)去分詞的構(gòu)造模式與此類似:

　　I burned/burnt the toast by mistake.

　　我不小心烤焦了面包。

　　He dreamed/dreamt about his holiday.

　　他幻想著他的假期。

　　Luke kneeled/knelt down to find his contact lens.

　　盧克跪在地上尋找他的隱形眼鏡。

　　She spelled/spelt her surname an unusual way.

　　她用一種特殊的方式拼寫(xiě)她的姓氏。

　　Leap,lean,spill,and others are also verbs of this type.

　　Leap，lean，spill和一些其他詞匯也都屬于這種類型。

　　Learned(but not learnt) is also an adjective,pronounced as two syllables (lrn|d) rather than the one syllable verb (lnt or lnd). The adjective,when said of a person,means 'having acquired much knowledge through study'. It can also be used of objects,meaning 'showing,requiring,or characterized by learning; scholarly'.

　　Learned(learnt不是)也是一個(gè)形容詞,其發(fā)音為兩個(gè)音節(jié)(lrn |d)而不是一個(gè)音節(jié)(lnt或lnd)。Learned作形容詞形容人時(shí),表示：通過(guò)學(xué)習(xí)研究獲得了很多知識(shí)，即“學(xué)識(shí)淵博的”。Learned也可以修飾物品,這意味著“具有學(xué)術(shù)特點(diǎn)的;學(xué)術(shù)上的”。

　　She is a learned and respected teacher.

　　她是一個(gè)博學(xué)且受人尊敬的老師。

　　I read the report in an extremely learned journal.

　　我在一份學(xué)術(shù)期刊上閱讀了這篇報(bào)告。
