傳統(tǒng)字典是否會(huì)被電子字典取代？Will Electronic Dictionaries Kill the Traditional Ones?
Along with the development of science and electronic technology, electronic dictionary has been a popular and useful tool in our lives. Therefore, some people suspect that electronic dictionaries will kill the traditional ones in the future. However, in my opinion, it will not happen.
隨著科學(xué)技術(shù)、電子技術(shù)的發(fā)展，電子詞典在我們生活中已經(jīng)成為一個(gè)流行，有用的工具。因此，有些人認(rèn)為電子詞典在將來會(huì)代替?zhèn)鹘y(tǒng)的的詞典。然而，在我看來，這是不會(huì)發(fā)生的。
There are a few reasons accounting for my view. First, traditional dictionaries are cheaper than electronic ones. For most people who use dictionaries most often, especially students, it is too expensive to buy and use electronic ones. Second, traditional dictionaries have another value that cannot be replaced—it can be collected into our bookshelves or libraries, but electronic ones will not be collected as it’s too expensive and wasteful. Third, keeping traditional dictionaries has been a habit for many scholars and teachers, so they will not be easy to get rid of it.
有幾個(gè)理由來支持我的觀點(diǎn)。首先，傳統(tǒng)的字典比電子詞典更便宜。大多數(shù)人最常用的是字典，特別是學(xué)生，對(duì)于他們來說購(gòu)買和使用的電子詞典太貴了。第二，傳統(tǒng)的詞典有另外一個(gè)無法替代的價(jià)值——它可以收藏在我們的書架上或圖書館上，但電子詞典不會(huì)被收集因?yàn)樗嘿F而且太浪費(fèi)了。第三，使用傳統(tǒng)的詞典是許多學(xué)者和教師一直以來的習(xí)慣，所以他們都不容易丟棄它。
Although electronic dictionaries have played an important role in our study and work and we often use it, I am still convinced that traditional dictionaries have its own unique value that cannot be replaced. Therefore, it is quite impossible that traditional dictionaries will be killed by electronic ones.
雖然電子詞典在我們的學(xué)習(xí)和工作中扮演著很重要的角色，而且我們也經(jīng)常使用它，但我仍然相信傳統(tǒng)的詞典有其獨(dú)特而無法替代的價(jià)值。因此，傳統(tǒng)字典是不可能被電子字典代替的。
