Step 1: A Free talk

Step 2: Revision

1. Revise the names of the food and tableware in Lesson 57

2. Revise the dialogues of Lesson 57

Step 2: Presentation

1. Draw this table on the Bb :

1) chicken tomatoes grapes

2) pork peas apples

3) beef carrots oranges

2. Get the students to listen and repeat the sentences.

Ask : Which does Ann like better,Oranges or grapes?

Which does she like best?

Step 3 : Reading

1. Look at the picture and ask : What kind of food do you see?

What countries do these foods come from ?

2. Ask : What’s the most popule food in the world?

3. Play the tape for the ss to practise reading aloud.

4. Discuss the passage,ask “What’s your favourite Chinese food?

Step 6: Ask and answer

1. A: I think pork/rice is very popular in China. Do you agree?

B : I don’t really agree / I really don’t agree.

2. Get the ss to ask each other questions using different food words
